Boston College and New Balance agreed to a long-term contract back in 2021. Given that both New Balance and themselves are from Boston, it makes perfect sense in every way. Athletes from the private institution were dressed in NB attire for this agreement. Now that the New Balance 550 "Boston College" is about to be released, both students and fans may join in on the fun.

As its name suggests, the 550 receives a straightforward yet beautiful makeover in line with the school's colors. The majority of the leather upper's pure white color scheme leaves plenty of opportunity for the red and gold pattern to take center stage. The school's emblem appears on the tongue label alongside New Balance's, and a more collegiate-looking typeface is used elsewhere.
